Weekend

The wedding and reception went pretty well yesterday. I have about 300 photos that I need to edit. I think that I will be delivering them to her on Friday or Saturday.

Jacqueline, Storm and Violet got back on Friday night. They had a good time on their vacation! I knew they would. It’s nice to have a full house again, I missed Vi and Jac a lot! Storm is going to be coming over this morning sometime to get them both and take them to his grandma’s house. I meant to update everyone about the grant she got for college. She filled out the wrong semester FASFA, so, she had to do one online. Hopefully it will work out for her to start next month. I told her that she will have to have two reliable backup sitters, in case I cannot watch Violet for her. Especially now that my photography business is starting to grow, I just can’t. I feel bad and I will try to do what I can, but I can’t take Violet with me and Jacqueline knows this. I’m sure it will all work out though.

Greg’s gone on a ride with the MAD group, like he does every month. He likes having guys to talk to when they stop for lunch and riding and riding. We went for a ride last weekend, it was fun, but I cannot ride for more than 45 minutes at a stretch, he can go for hours.

I finally found a nice guest room comforter and actually a dust ruffle that goes with everything we have going on in there. I just need to put the TV stand in there and get a better night stand and the room will be almost done. Probably sometime this month I will be heading to Wal-mart to get some new roman shades for that room and probably Violet’s room too. I cannot wait to get some furniture in the living room. We have just an older Lazy Boy and a bookcase in there now. All my photo equipment is in there too. We want to get two-three bookcases, a couch or some chairs and eventually a baby grand. We also want to take up the carpet and put wood floors down in there. Hopefully by Christmas we’ll have something going on in there!

I just bought this on Friday. I’m so glad I did too! I think I’m going to order a new camera bag today or this week. I’m tired of having three bags when I go places. I’m looking at getting one jill.e, for now, as I take my laptop with me when I do a session. I also have two cameras and now I have 3 lenses and other things. Just not working with the 2 Crumplers AND the laptop bag I use. Plus I have a tripod bag TOO MUCH STUFF! It would be really nice to have the one wheels, I get tired lugging everything! It really depends on whether I get the soccer contract or not. I did talk to the manger on Friday and gave her the print prices. She and I talked for a while, I think it will work out fine. She gave me the website for her cousin who was doing the team photos, but lives too far away for just one team. And she gave me a lead on how to get my foot in the door for the entire league. I also have to think about what to do for the next wedding and what’s in the future. I will be putting out some collage photos and business cards this week and next week at the feed stores we have here. There’s a lot of horses in the area and I’m sure the owners would like to get their photos done with their horses, right? My friend Lisa actually gave me that idea, thanks girlie! Oh and I plan on calling the bride for September’s wedding Tuesday if I haven’t heard back from her. She wants me to do the photos for the reception as well. I think it’s a money issue, I just priced out the wedding as they have a photographer in the family and they were going to have him do the reception photos.

Today I’m cleaning up my office and craft room. Then I will be ready for next week. I’m going to have to purge some things in the craft room to make room for my photo equipment, I hate it being in the living room.

TTFN!
