Friday
Today I woke up late, checked our bank account. The gov’t decided to put some extra cash in there to stimulate the economy. YAY!! I went and ordered a new bed for the guest room! It arrives tomorrow morning sometime between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Now when my mom, Lisa or Jess visit there’s a real bed there. I dropped into Michael’s this afternoon as there were a few things that I wanted to buy for that room. I think we’ll be busy tomorrow hanging things on the wall. Jess arrives Sunday morning and then leaves sometime on Tuesday. Greg’s folks arrive on Thursday afternoon. I bought things from this collection. I don’t know if you can see them very well on the Michael’s site or not. I bought a huge, distressed flag wall hanging, a couple of photo frames, one of the paddles, a bag and some shell animals. We have a lot of sea shells from when we would go to Orlando or Daytona Beach when the girls were young in the room already, which is what inspired the idea.
I added threaded comments, yay! I love that and I missed it!
I’m off to scrapbook tonight with a group of gals that I met here locally. It’s actually a funny story. I was in line at Target a few weeks ago and saw some scrapbooking stuff that the gal in front of me had on the belt. We started to chat, she invited me. I went once or twice and did some chit-chatting and some scrapping. So, tonight is another time, first time in a while, although they do it every Friday night. She’s also the same gal that I picked up some Free Cycle things from, unknowingly to each other! Haha!

I’m glad you’re back posting!
I need to check out Michael’s for the same decor. I was just thinking to myself the other day that that theme would look perfect in our bathroom. I already have bits and pieces from Yankee Candle (a shade and tea melt pot), but I need a wall hanging or two and Michael’s may have what I’m looking for!
We’re (I’m) thinking of using our Stimulus refund on a bed too, but after looking online, I’ve realized that they are quite pricey for what I’m looking for. Oh well…you get what you pay for and that’s why we need a new bed.

Ooooooh, I will have to check out the Yankee Candle stuff.
We just got a king sized bed and mattress/box spring along with the dressers and such. I don’t know how much it would be for just the bed though.

Thanks T-girlie! The guest room looks pretty good actually. I just have to print some 4 x 6’s for the frames and figure out a better nightstand. But, for now it works.
