Today marks 7 years since I had my hysterectomy. My life is SO different now, after the surgery. No more pain and I can wear white anytime I want to. 
It seems like forever and a day since I went in and had that done. Time has really flown by.
I still have my ovaries. I do get PMS still, but, it’s definitely different and better than it was. Hopefully one day I will not remember the pain that I was in during that time!
I have posted a page for some recipes I use a lot. I hope you enjoy! I will add to this when I can. I have tons more!
They are almost finished putting the carpet in! It looks so awesome, I cannot wait to begin enjoying it! We’re planning on moving the Wii downstairs, that way we can play it when the little girlie is in the family room. It will be weird to have just a TV in the family room. I think we need to get a new one. I wish our tax refund would handle that expense!
I actually got a phone call from H & R Block yesterday on my voice mail. They wanted to know when our appointment was. Seriously. I almost fell down from laughing so hard! I wouldn’t give that gal the time of day in an elevator.
I put in my application to join our Chamber of Commerce. I hope to hear something in March or April. I’m not really sure how long it takes. Looks like there’s a new member thing in early March. You don’t have to be a member, just if you are thinking about it. So, I’m going to try to go to that. It’s on a Thursday, which makes it a little sticky as I watch the little girlie, but, I should be home in plenty of time.
I’ve been busy.
We’ve been to the tax office 4 times over the past 2 weeks. First time the gal was “sick” and the second time the gal just wasn’t there. Talked to the district manager and the regional manager. We finally were seen on Saturday and returned yesterday with more paperwork and to sign the forms. We’re getting a refund, yay. Better than owing!
I went to a Southern Living party on Saturday. Met some new gals and maybe a potential family client for the photo biz.
I cropped on Saturday night and finally have my “All About Me” page almost finished. Just have to finalize the journaling and it’s completed.
We’re getting carpet in the basement on Wednesday! I’ve been spending some time today moving breakables and other things with legs into safe areas. I cannot wait to have a carpeted basement!
I took some photos yesterday of hubby and the little girlie for photography class. We had to do an assignment where we used 5 different perspectives. I may shoot more of just hubby alone, with a kiddo it’s a little harder.
I have to order my lights and stands this week, I cannot wait. I have everything else, that’s all I need!
Today marks 8 years of blogging! I first started blogging because I needed to write my feelings down and didn’t want to write by hand any longer. I’ve really kept a journal of one type or another since I was a little girl.
My first blog was on Blogger, that’s how Theresa (T-girlie) and I met. Soon after I met Mollie, Mollie.

This is my first post, better make it count! What a crazy day today.
First the youngest didn’t tell anyone that she took CLEAN dishes out of the dishwasher. Hubby ran it yesterday and she didn’t lock it back up! So, I started loading dirty dishes into the clean ones, what a way to start your day!
Off to karate we went. After karate we went to the mall and got the oldest’s second hole pierced in her ear. Then we stopped off at the shop so one of the mechanics could replace a belt on my car. Finally we were home!
We all ate lunch and then the phone started ringing. This boy, Steve has been calling the oldest a lot. They are off to the movies tonight. I hope she has fun.
My mom just called. We chatted for 15 minutes. A new record for me these days!

I’ve blogged at MANY domains throughout the 8 years. I wish I had bought this domain 8 years ago, it fits me so well.
After Blogger frustrated me for like a month, I found hosting and bought a domain! simplysara.com was my domain for a long time. Then, in 2002 I started Blogland. I hosted blogs for free on my webspace. No one should be on Blogger if they don’t want to be there. I used Movable Type back then. I then moved to Grey Matter, then b2 and have been on WordPress for a long, long, time now. Since April 20, 2003 (5 years). I found my old user name on the WP forums and logged in.
WP is definitely my CMS of choice!
So much has changed since that first entry, yet, so much hasn’t. *LOL* Thank you for sticking by me during the ride!
